Can see my friggin' nervous expression? Hahaha, that was before I went over to BBDC to have my last practical session (my Traffic Police Practical Test!) :D Hahahaa, sempat! So the good news is .. I AM OFFICIALLY A DRIVER :D HEHE. I'M A GOOD AND SAFE DRIVER! hahahaa. If you don't bother wanna know my experience on that day, then don't bother reading what I'm gonna type below :)
So my warm up was set at 3:15pm before my test which was at 4:30pm on the 3rd March 2011, Thursday. Warm up was okay? I had a lot of questions in my mind to ask the instructor. When I was finally in the car, I only remember, "Since it's raining, do I have to switch on the lights?" -_- Confidence much? End of warm up, went straight up to waiting area and I was the first and earliest there. 3:50pm I was already seated :P Nervous much la horh.
Slowly the waiting area started to filled with all students taking their TP same slot as me. Since my IC was inserted FIRST into the box (and ended up being in the bottom) I was the last one called :( Hahaha made me scared only! But that's okay. Tester told me I'm gonna drive on test route 6. I was so confident it was at Teck Whye and everything until the tester said, "You wanna glance at the test route behind you before we go?" So I looked behind me at the map route and I was right, it really was at Teck Whye.
So when I get into the car, all set, (and as I depressed the brake pedal to change gear to D) tester asked, "did your Instructor ever told you this one in what position before you start engine?" Referring "this one" to handbrake! My handbrake was released before I started the engine and I din realised it! *#@$#&@*(!!) I was so scared if it was an immediate failure cause it was the first thing we pointed out even before I started my test journey! Hahaha :D
I told him it was already there when I got in, and my Instructors din say anything about it during all my practical sessions! Lol!? So he was like, "Okay, just to let you know before you on engine, your handbrake must always be up." Hahaha I knew that, just that I totally din realised it was down :S So circuit was so far okay. But I got lots of scolding :( I was thinking, doesnt testers supposed to fail you if you commit any wrongs, instead of opening their mouths and scold you? So I was so confident that I assumed I was immediately failed by the tester. I was upset :( But I kept my cool, and remember what Jacqueline told me :) Smile at the tester. He scolded me once because I din check behind while reversing for my Parallel Parking.
Second scolding was because he asked me to do another time (see, he asked me to do a second time! That was obvious that its an immediate failure isnt it!?) and I commit the same mistake! I din check behind while reversing into the lot! :( "Ahh see you din check behind again! Tsk" :'(((( *There goes my $160 and another $160 to book for another test!* Honestly, that was what I was thinking at that point of time! Other than that, circuit was perfectly fine.
Went out of BBDC, I was confident that he will ask me to turn right (cause Duuuuuuhhhhhh test route 6 is at Teck Whye!) but I was so scared he would scold me again that I waited for his instructions instead of signalling right. Guess what? Tester: "Okay turn left here." -_- I followed, I din dare to question him. LOL. (Throughout my whole journey on the public road, I was doing well and no U-turn was needed)! Got back into circuit, parked car, and went up to 2nd floor to wait for my tester with my results.
The rest who had their test same slot as me already having their results. The girl beside me even got a lot of naggings by her tester. (There was around 5 female at the waiting area before that). I was the only one waiting for my tester with my result (Forever alone). I looked down cause I wanted to cry, knowing that I failed :'(
Then something happened. Tester came and startled me with my results in his hands. "Okay .. You passed!" Omg I was friggin' happy that I grinned and smiled instantly. It was so obvious that my tester was, "You did very well you know! Just a few things like reversing just now ahh must check behind other than that, you are very patient, very good. Your driving skill is good as well, your circuit all okay. You even know how to react when you scanned for danger and you saw the cyclist. Very good, well done." Yes I was so happy that I remember his words :D Hahaha.
Now remember when I said there was around 5 females at the waiting area? When all the students who passed had to watch this graduate video, I was the only girl! ^^ LOL, the other 5 are guys! Hahaha, not being proud tho :) Just that the other females were much older than me! Hohooho, Alhamdulillah really.
